VanMoof introduces Ride Pro, a new subscription that levels up rider’s experience

Ride Pro offers advanced features so riders can get more from their e-bike.

Amsterdam 14-01-2025 - The new VanMoof pushes the riding experience forwards with the release of Ride Pro, a new subscription designed to enhance its riders’ e-bikes even further. Built on many months of in-house innovation, Ride Pro unlocks additional features like advanced theft tracking, alarm notifications, and health app integrations that take riding a VanMoof to the next level. App features that were free previously, will remain free. Ride Pro will be launched for owners of VanMoof S3 and X3 and older models first, with S5 and A5 riders - who will enjoy even more connected functionality - following soon.

The advanced features of Ride Pro

Riders can now be their bike’s first line of defence. If the bike has been stolen, VanMoof’s renowned theft tracking features kick in. Using a combination of GSM cell-tower triangulation and GPS from connected smartphones, riders can accurately and reliably pinpoint their bike's location and track it down – no matter where it’s been taken. Together with a system that automatically locks the bike down so no one else can use it, it’s a powerful deterrent for thieves. 

VanMoof also offers a Theft Proof service, where their Bike Hunter team has 14 days to hunt down and return the stolen bike or, if they can't find it, replace it. With Ride Pro, riders get access to features previously exclusively available to Bike Hunters. 

Ride Pro integrates with Apple Health and Health Connect, so riders can sync their rides to track their progress and health goals. The subscription also keeps riders connected to their bike, wherever there are. Think your bike has moved? You’ll know in an instant. Real-time alarms and activity history make sure riders are always in the know about their bike’s security. 

Continual evolution, built-in

And as VanMoof moves forwards, so will Ride Pro: “Ride Pro isn’t just an app upgrade,” explains Co-CEO Eliott Wertheimer, “It elevates your bike itself. How to subscribe to Ride Pro

Ride Pro is currently available for riders of the S3 and X3 and older connected models, and it will soon be available for S5 and A5 riders as well. This version includes many more exciting features.
